What the QR Code Actually Does
It's the exact same pairing flow as opening web.whatsapp.com on your laptop. Your phone confirms the pairing, and from then on a persistent WebSocket connection keeps that session authenticated — no repeated logins, no OTPs, until you explicitly log the session out.
Keeping a Session Alive
- Keep the paired phone connected to the internet at least occasionally
- Don't log out of WhatsApp Web from the phone's app settings
- Watch your dashboard for reconnect events — they resolve automatically in most cases
